The Lake District is famous for its breathtaking scenery and on this tour, you can compliment this beauty with lake cruises and nostalgic steam train journeys.

Daily Itinerary

Day 1
We travel through mid-Wales for a 4 night stay at Grange-over-Sands. Suitable comfort stops will be made en-route. Settle into your room before your evening meal.

Day 2
Enjoy a trip through the heart of the Lake District to the ever popular North Lakes tourist town of Keswick, under the shadow of Skiddow, before continuing to England’s most beautiful lake – Ullswater, for a cruise on a “steamer” form Pooley Bridge to Glenridding.

Day 3
After breakfast, we shall take a leisurely journey to Lakeside. After browsing around Lakeside, we join he Windermere Lake Cruises and take a delightful cruise along Lake Windermere to Cumbria’s most popular destination – Bowness on Windermere.

Day 4
Full steam ahead to the Western Lakes for a nostalgic trip back in time on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway on Lakeland’s oldest and longest railway, from Ravenglass through two glorious valley to the foot of England’s highest mountain.

Day 5
After a relaxing few days, it is time to head home with a few hours shopping at Chester en-route, arriving home in the evening.
