Wye Valley & The Royal Forest of Dean


The Wye Valley runs through parts of Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, and is an area of outstanding natural beauty forming the western border of the Royal Forest, separating England from Wales. The ancient Forest of Dean lies at the very heart of the district in Gloucestershire and borders the Wye Valley in the west and the Severn Vale in the East.

Daily Itinerary

Day 1
Once you have joined the coach at your appointment pick up we travel a scenic route via Brecon, Abergavenny and Monmouth, to arrive at our hotel in Coleford in the afternoon.

Day 2
After breakfast we travel through the Forest of Dean to Gloucester. We depart Gloucester after lunch and travel via Ross-on-Wye to Symonds Yat where we depart on a leisurely boat trip through the Wye Valley.

Day 3
Today we head into Herefordshire to the historic Cathedral city of Hereford, and later onto Ledbury. We return to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 4
We depart after breakfast and travel via the Wye Valley, Tintern Abbey and Chepstow to arrive in Cardiff for lunch and a spot of last minute shopping. We arrive home early morning.
