A nostalgic steam train journey and a visit to one of England's finest stately home

DAY 1
We depart West Wales and make our way northwards to our hotel on the outskirts of Derby and our base for the next 4 nights.
Suitable comfort stops will be made en-route.
DAY 2
Today is High-Peaks Day. We will travel over "Snake Pass" to Derwent Dam. We continue our journey to the pretty village of Castleton, home of the legendary Blue John Caverns,.
DAY 3
Today, we will discover the southern end of the Peak District on a 25 minute nostalgic steam train journey betweeen Rowsley and Matlock. We continue to Matlock Bath, a popular tourist spot located in a steep and beautiful gorge. Whilst here, you may wish to take the cable car up to Abraham Heights to take in the wonderful views, or explore the number of attactions, shops and eateries
B, DDAY 4
This morning, we travel to Bakewell, famous for its tart, with a visit to the original Bakewell Pudding Shop. We then continue our journey to the "Palace of the Peaks" - Chatsworth House, with its rich interior furniture and unique treasures.
B, DDAY 5
Sadly, it is time to depart the Peak District and make our way back to West Wales. Suitable comfort stops will be made en-route.
