Holland – Bulbfields & Windmills


Keukenhof Gardens, also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world’s largest flower gardens, situated in Lisse, South Holland. According to the official website for the Keukenhof Park, approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 32 hectares.

Daily Itinerary


DAY 1: After an early morning departure from West Wales, we make our way to Folkestone to catch the Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Suitable comfort stops will be made en-route. Continue our journey to Dordrecht and to our hotel for the next 3 nights.

Day 2: After breakfast, we make our way  to the Keukenhof Gardens – where floral arrangements are found in a picture book setting of old trees and waterways. Finally, taking a relaxing drive along the “Bulbfields Route” between Oegstgeest and Noordwijk, before returning to the hotel.

Day 3: No visit to Holland is complete, without a visit to the world-famous 17th century capital of Holland – Amsterdam. Enjoy the historic buildings beautiful museums, narrow houses with gabled facades, go for a boat tour on the canals or stroll through Vondelpark – the choice is endless 

Day 4: Sadly, with breakfast over, we depart the hotel and make our way back to Calais to catch the Eurotunnel back to Folkeston. Suitable comfort stops will be made en-route. Make our way back home to West Wales, arriving in the late evening.
