Discovering Yorkshire
Based in York, we will have a guided walking tour of York, York riverboat trip, train journey
from Pickering to Whitby on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and visit Castle Howard.
Day 1
We depart West Wales in the morning, and travelling via Aberystwyth, we make our way to our hotel. Suitable comfort stops will be made en-route.
Settle into your rooms and enjoy your evening meal.
Day 2
This morning, we will have a guided walking tour of York. In the afternoon, we have a cruise on the River Ouse, followed by free time to explore the city at leisure.
Day 3
Today, we join the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for a scenic tour from Pickering to Whitby. After lunch and some time in Whitby, we will return to York across Blakey Ridge, Hutton-le-Hole and Helmsley, offering some of the most spectacular views of the area .
B, DDay 4
In the morning, we will travel to Castle Howard, where you can experience Castle Howard's 21st Century Renaissance.
We will return to York city, where you will have free time to explore further and possibly visit the Jorvik Centre, The National Railway Museum, walk the City Walls, the magnificent Minster, and the surrounding narrow streets including the famous Shambles.
Day 5
After breakfast, we depart the hotel and with suitable comfort stops, we travel back to West Wales.
